“For more than a decade, she has urged people to build better, not bigger. Now, as the U.S. economy struggles to climb out of a tailspin and environmental concerns rise, her message has gone mainstream.”

   Last week this article was the USA Today headline story delivered to my phone on Monday. I read through the article, finding its content something worthy of being discussed in a Christian context. I find at least two major portions of this article fascinating.

Is this Baptism, or is it a child getting wet?

Although this is a humorous scene, the question I immediately had when I saw this was if this young boy was truly a regenerate believer. Certainly this adds a whole new dimension to the phrase a “leap of faith” but is this attitude one of brokenness over sin and humble submission to the Savior? In this clip I certainly see the unrestrained joy that should accompany salvation but I see none of the necessary sorrow over sin and desire to be Christ-like. What do you think?

As I read the quote above this morning I found myself taken aback at the recklessness of the president’s thinking on this issue. As I see it there are at least three parts of this quote that I find disturbing.
