Our Family

Having now moved three times, we understand more and more how precious relationships are. When we lived in Monroe, NC our family was two hours away. There were times that we longed to see them and just be able to share the simple pleasures of life with them. The positive side of that came when we made the best friends we have ever had. Friends are rare enough to find, but it is almost unheard of to connect so closely with three sets of friends that you could call them family. Now that we live in Enoree, our best friends are two hours away and again we long just to be able to enjoy a taste of the life we had in Monroe with them.

In both situations, God has been gracious enough to give us means to keep the relationships strong. Pictures is one of those means, so here are a few to help us grow closer to one another!

  1. I hope you have enjoyed the pictures of our children. Rachel just turned one and is a little ball of giggles. She loves to crinkle her nose and bark back to our dog Locket. Robbie is three and runs on all cylinders at all times. I think he even speed sleeps. Both of them are a source of endless joy and laughter. This September, they will be joined by our third blessing. We can’t wait!

  5. I love the BLOG! It’s always great to hear from ya’ll. I miss ya’ll, but especially on Sundays, and especially yesterday. We were all eating at Ajimi’s, and talking about how we wished that ya’ll could be with us. I especially missed someone else yesterday when we were all eating together. May 18th would have been our 23rd anniversary. By the way, Happy Anniversary!!! See ya’ll soon.

  6. Well, I’m with Ava but I did cry! We all miss ya’ll so much!!! I was just talking about little Robbie & Rachel today to someone. I said,”they were like our early grandchildren we haven’t had yet! I can’t wait to see ya’ll this week. We saw a little boy Friday night while we were eating and I said, “doesn’t he remind you of Robbie?”

  7. owensbys,
i miss you guys SO much . everyday i think about you guys . i really wish you guys could be here for my senior year of high school. you know, i didnt realize how little time i had left until one day in church a few weeks past i held my little sisters hand. as i looked over alyson i noticed how much growing and maturing she had left and how little time i have left to lead her through the right path. I pray that I have the strength and godliness to maintain her path . college awaits and my life is tested daily , today i got my June SAT scores back , wow ! an 1859. i find this rather unimpressive but others find different ? all these questions about college and life and senior year and you guys are 2 hours away :[. I guess what I’m trying to say is i really miss you .These pass few weeks have been like a knife stabbing at my stability and i almost want to fall in . i can’t stand to watch my grandmother cry in pain . yesterday she told me ” Sarah, I can’t do it ” I replied ” You can Grandma , you can do everything through Christ who strengthens you .” I hope my grandmother finds peace after this rocky sickness. keep praying she says ! i love you guys and im praying for you !
